We’re Australia’s leading charity focussing entirely on supporting the Mano River communities. Based in Australia and in the Mano River region.
We’re an Australian charity working with people on the ground to make sustainable change.
We’d love you to join us.
Building Futures.
Bringing Hope
Welcome!
We’re Mano River Sustainable Development Association (MaRSDA)
We partner with Kissi Cultural & Economic Development Association (KICEDA)
Two organisations. One purpose.
We exist to champion change in the communities living in the Mano River region.

Our dreams
The area has many families and children living in every day hardship and poverty, suffering with sickness. They lack tools to grow crops and money to buy food. They have little access to training and health care.
They have dreams, hopes and aspirations. They’re strong and resilient.
They know what they need to do and how to do it. The only thing they don’t have are the resources to realise their dreams.
Despite everything, every day they take small steps towards making a big difference.
Please help these determined, talented people take bigger, faster steps.

About the Mano River Region
The Mano River Region is home to communities who share a common culture, living in three countries:
- Liberia
- Guinea
- Sierra Leone
The region is inland, rural and far away from the coast. When it comes to providing resources, they’re often forgotten.
The indigenous people speak many languages. However, they have many things in common, including a shared language.
They’re working together to build a better future. The communities, in partnership with the Kissi Cultural & Economic Development Association, have started exciting projects.
Plans are in place to:
- Help tackle poverty
- Protect the environment
- Increase local language literacy
- Promote and preserve the native culture
